Ruqyah Shariah: Effective Quranic Remedies for Spiritual Illnesses

July 16, 2025

Healing the soul through the power of the Quran and Sunnah

Introduction

In a world full of anxiety, depression, envy, and spiritual attacks, many Muslims silently suffer without knowing the cause of their pain. Often, the root of such issues lies in unseen forces: evil eye (nazar), black magic (sihr), and jinn possession. Islam provides a powerful and authentic solution to these unseen problems — and that solution is called Ruqyah Shariah.

> “And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers…”
(Surah Al-Isra 17:82)

What is Ruqyah Shariah?

Ruqyah Shariah is a method of spiritual healing that uses only authentic Quranic verses and Prophetic supplications (duas). It is performed to seek healing, protection, and relief from spiritual, emotional, and physical problems — all in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

This is completely different from forbidden practices like taweez (amulets), charms, or calling upon jinn.

Common Spiritual Illnesses Treated with Ruqyah:

🔹 Evil Eye (Nazar-e-Bad)
🔹 Black Magic (Sihr)
🔹 Jinn Possession
🔹 Chronic Illnesses without Medical Cause
🔹 Mental Health Disorders (Depression, Anxiety)
🔹 Sleep Paralysis & Nightmares
🔹 Family Conflicts & Marital Issues (caused by unseen forces)

Signs You May Need Ruqyah:

Constant fatigue with no medical explanation

Repeated headaches, dizziness, or body pain

Nightmares or insomnia

Sudden mood swings or depression

Feeling something is “with you”

Blockages in life: marriage, business, or health

Aversion to Quran or prayer

Hearing whispers, strange voices, or seeing shadows

The Ruqyah Shariah Method (Self-Healing)

✅ 1. Spiritual Preparation

Be in state of wudu

Face Qiblah

Sit calmly and begin with intention of healing through Allah’s words
✅ 2. Recitation of Specific Verses

🔸 Durood Sharif – 3 times (begin and end with this)
🔸 Surah Al-Fatiha – 7 times
🔸 Ayat-ul-Kursi (2:255) – 1 time
🔸 Last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah – 1 time
🔸 Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Naas – 3 times each
🔸 Surah Al-A’raf (7:117–122) – For magic
🔸 Surah Yunus (10:81–82) – For magic and jinn
🔸 Surah Taha (20:68–70) – For powerful protection
🔸 Surah Al-Mu’minun (23:115–118) – For jinn expulsion
🔸 Surah As-Saffat (37:1–10) – To burn evil forces

✅ 3. Blow on water and olive oil

Drink the water daily

Apply the oil to affected areas and before sleep
✅ 4. Recite this Ruqyah Dua:

> “Bismillah arqeek, min kulli shay’in yu’dheek, wa min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin hasidin, Allahu yashfeek.”
(In the name of Allah, I perform Ruqyah on you from everything that harms you, and from the evil of every soul or jealous eye. May Allah heal you.)

How Often to Perform Ruqyah?

📆 Daily if symptoms are severe
📆 3 times a week for ongoing healing
📆 Once a week for protection & maintenance

Important Tips During Ruqyah Healing

❌ Avoid sin, music, and bad company

🕋 Perform 5 daily prayers

💬 Keep your tongue busy with dhikr and Qur’an

📖 Listen to Surah Al-Baqarah audio daily

🍽️ Eat Tibb-e-Nabawi foods: black seed, honey, dates

What Ruqyah is NOT

❌ It is NOT magic or superstition

❌ It is NOT using talismans, taweez, or calling jinn

❌ It does NOT require money or strange rituals
Ruqyah Shariah is purely Quranic, spiritual, and free.

The Healing is from Allah Alone

> “And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.”
(Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:80)

Ruqyah is just a means — the real Shifa (healing) comes only from Allah. Trust Him, remain patient, and be consistent in your practice.
