Understanding, Recognizing, and Healing with Quranic Ruqyah
Introduction:
The evil eye (Nazar-e-Bad) s real and powerful. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ confirmed its existence and taught his Ummah how to protect themselves. Like termites quietly destroying wood from the inside, an old, untreated evil eye can silently ruin a person’s health, finances, and peace of mind. Many people ignore the symptoms or don’t recognize them until they reach a critical stage.
The Reality of the Old Evil Eye:
Just as termites devour wood no matter how much new wood you add, untreated evil eye will keep affecting your life. People suffering from it may repeatedly fail in business, struggle with unexplained illnesses, or experience constant misfortune, even when trying new ventures or treatments.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
> “Keep your matters hidden until they are finalized, because someone who doesn’t have what you do may envy you, and envy is the first step to the evil eye.”

Proof of Evil Eye in the Quran:
In Surah Qalam, verse 51, Allah says:
> “And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message…”
This shows that if Allah had not protected the Prophet ﷺ, the envious could have harmed him with their gaze.
Misunderstandings About Evil Eye:
Some people mock the concept, saying, “Why don’t powerful nations, billionaires, or big industries suffer from the evil eye?” The answer is simple: not everyone is affected, as Allah protects whom He wills. Even the Prophet ﷺ and his closest companions — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) — faced envy, but Allah safeguarded them.
Signs of an Old, Untreated Evil Eye:
Feeling sudden dizziness as if the ground is shaking.
Experiencing jerks or spasms during sleep.
Finding bruises on the body without injury.
Repeated unexplained sickness despite normal medical reports.
Sudden difficulty in breathing, day or night, without any medical cause.
If you or a loved one experience these symptoms and doctors cannot find a reason, it’s time to seek spiritual treatment urgently.
The Treatment Taught by the Prophet ﷺ:
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once the Prophet ﷺ was in severe pain, but by evening, he was completely healthy. The Prophet ﷺ said:
> “Jibreel came to me and performed ruqyah on me.”
He taught the words of the ruqyah:
> بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ حَسَدِ حَاسِدٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ. اللّٰهُ يَشْفِيكَ
“In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you from everything that harms you, from the envy of the envious, and from every evil eye. May Allah grant you healing.”
(Ibn Majah 3527)
When Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas were revealed, the Prophet ﷺ abandoned previous ruqyahs and adopted these Surahs as the best treatment.
How to Perform the Complete Treatment:
1️⃣ Begin with Durood Sharif 3 times.
2️⃣ Recite Surah Al-Fatihah 7 times.
3️⃣ Recite Ayat-ul-Kursi once.
4️⃣ Recite the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah once.
5️⃣ Recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas three times each.
6️⃣ Recite the ruqyah of Jibreel (above) 7 times.
7️⃣ Finish with Durood Sharif 3 times, then blow on yourself.
Repeat this treatment at least three times daily with firm faith that Allah will grant you healing. Insha’Allah, you will see improvement day by day.

Ultimate healing comes only from Allah. Have complete faith in Him while performing this treatment. Avoid amulets with unknown writings or turning to magicians — these are prohibited and lead to shirk.
